Nova Scotia Midwifery Stakeholders Consultation March 22, 2018 Super 8 Hotel 85 Treaty Trail, Millbrook, NS (902) 816-6794 The Mi’kmaq Confederacy of PEI (MCPEI) in collaboration with First Nations Inuit Health Branch, Department of Indigenous Services Canada, is pleased to host a Nova Scotia gathering to discuss Indigenous Midwifery. This gathering will bring together stakeholders from First Nations communities and provincial and federal governments to discuss bringing traditional birthing practices closer to First Nations communities, exploring possibilities and readiness. A block of rooms will be held at the Super 8 Hotel until February 28. As MCPEI will be booking your accommodations, it is important that you register for the event before February 26. One person per non-governmental organization attending the workshop will have their expenses covered. Accommodations & taxes, supper and incidentals will be covered for the night of March 21. Breakfast will be covered for the morning of March 22. Kilometers will be reimbursed at your provincial rate as specified by the government of Canada. Health breaks and lunch will be provided during the workshop.
