Palliative Care Education for Cape Breton Participants

Cape Breton Participants March 19 & 20, Membertou Trade & Convention Ctr/Hampton Inn. Maximum 25 participants. The Mi'kmaq Confederacy of PEI (MCPEI) is pleased to be working with Indigenous Services Canada (ISC), First Nations Inuit Health Branch (FNHIB) to host 3 Palliative Care Education Sessions for First Nation Communities. The purpose of the event is to advance health and social care for an aging population and promote the health and well-being of people ageing across the lifespan. The sessions will provide palliative care education for unregulated care providers (PSWs, CCAs, HSWs). The education will be provided by the Centre for Education and Research on Aging & Health (CERAH), Lakehead University and titled Palliative Care Education for First Nations Communities: to Support Capacity Development for Palliative Care Services in First Nations
